Volcano House Room The Volcano House is located 4,000 feet above the Pacific on the rim of Kilauea Crater. Here you can walk on a smoldering caldera, explore lush rain forests, peer down mysterious lava tubes, and hike through dramatic lunar-like volcanic landscapes. You'll step back in time in the gracious, old-fashioned comfort of the cozy 42-room country lodge. The award-winning restaurant has a spectacular view of the caldera. No televisions available. $10 entrance fee (per car) to enter the National Park - good for seven days.
